The Author Of The SATA Switch Web Site
My name is Charles Morse. I'm an electronics technician employed by a major corporation in Socorro, New Mexico. I'm mainly a Windows guy (I have MCSE and MCSA certifications) but I am learning Linux / Unix. I often install different operating systems on my PC's to try them out. I used to use software boot loaders when I wanted to multiboot. I put this (my first) web site together both to learn XHTML /CSS/ Web Design and because I could find no other web site with actual instructions on how to build a SATA hard drive switch.
I am not the first person to think of using a switch for switching power between hard drives to boot multiple operating systems. I have found several posts from people who have had this idea but could find no posts with actual instructions for doing this with SATA drives.
I am running my own web server at home using MS Enterprise Server 2008. I have a dynamic IP address so I am using the service provided by No-IP. My current interests are coding in C#.Net, learning Dreamweaver and Photoshop, as well as creating graphics with Bryce and Maya. I love the outdoors and enjoy shooting and hunting with my 45 Colt Ruger Blackhawk revolver and my Martin recurve bow.
